Martin Fidler (Born 1950)
Title: Canary Wharf
Medium: Charcoal on paper, signed indistinctly
Size: 56 x 76cm
From Martin Fidler's project "Industrial Infrastructures"
Fidler's interest in Greenwich and the Thames waterfront stems from the impact Alan Sorrell's history book illustrations had on him as a small boy in history lessons. His illustrations sparked an interest in drawing which gave Fidler an early confidence to use drawing to describe the heritage and industry of old buildings and machinery.
